Bad, Bad Blogger Brown
Okay, I officially suck now. I've been at my new internship for three days now, getting up in the dark and getting home well after dark is knackering. Also? Really bad for taking outfit photos. Anyhow, I still haven't been able to get into the store but I might get a chance tomorrow depending on how hectic work is. On the weekend, or whenever I'm not too tired/my hair isn't hideous/I have a photographer.
Work has been... interesting. It's exhausting because it's pretty much non-stop and I don't really get to go outside at all, but there are definitely some exciting bits: I wrote a brief for the Prime Minister today!
Anyhoo, there was no sale in the UK today - and I couldn't be more thrilled! I went a bit mad during the last couple and I have a few things I have to return now:
Opening Night Sweater
I love this sweater, but just don't think I'm ever going to wear - it's too dressy for work and in the evenings I wear dresses. Don't you think?
Field Skirt
This might not go back - I'm hoping the size down is going to hit the sale online next week, in which case I can order the 6 (UK six!!) and return the size 8 I have. If it never goes on sale, then I'll keep it. I'm hoping this will be a good substitute for the Great Escape Skirt I missed out on. For those who are thinking of getting this skirt, though: I cannot stress enough how big that skirt runs, size two down!
Anyhoo, I think that's it from me now. I'm watching the movie 'Splice' and freaking myself out. What better way to end the day?

Ooh do you intern at the PM's office or for another minister? I got my degree in politics but haven't had a chance to work in it, so my ears perked up at the mention of it!
I saw that sweater in a US store the other day, but it looks so much better on you than on the hanger. I can see what you're saying though - it doesn't really have a *place* in one's wardrobe.
Sorry the internship is keeping you so busy, but it sounds like you're getting a great experience!
I do like the sweater on you, but i agree with you - it's too dressy to wear during the day for work. But having said that, you could wear it on the weekend with jeans to make it look more smart-casual.
Your work sounds very interesting. Are you working in public service?
