New Feature!

style it
Okay! It's about time, but it's finally here: the new "Style It!" feature! This is, I admit, an idea adapted from the mustnotbenamed blog, but I feel we're missing some of her more interactive features. The idea is that we'll focus on one Anthro item a week, one that a lot of people own, and people can submit different ideas on how to wear it. I'm sure I'm not alone in getting into a rut with some pieces! This is how it's going to work:
- The piece will run once a week, probably on a Wednesday (mid-week cheer up and all that!).
- We'll decide on a piece a week, decided by the poll on the right there. The piece of the week should be a fairly common piece that lots of members of the community own.
- The piece will (usually) be announced the Wednesday before and contributions must be in by noon (GMT, people!) on the Wednesday of posting.
- Submissions can either be in the form of an outfit picture (no worries if you want to, or already have, posted it on your own blogs!) or in the form of a Polyvore set - so even if you don't own it, you can chip in!
- If you could send your submission picture (ideally in the body of the email, though you can send as an attachment if all else fails) or Polyvore set (in html or link form) along with a summary of what you're wearing and a link if you like! If you want to be referred to as something particular, then let me know. Likewise if you want to add a comment to your outfit.
For the first round, I've put on the poll: Great Escape/Field/Circle the Globe Skirt, Tempting Trellis Cardigan and the Sugar and Cream Dress. I can add something else to the poll, but I wondered if there were any requests? Please do write in below, if you do have any suggestions!
Does this sound like something that you'd all like to take part in? I'm open to ideas and suggestions! I'll announce this weekend what the first round will centre on. The ever-lovely Roxy is all informed and hopefully we'll find a way to link up on this.
Great idea! I was thinking about the Noon and Night Dress or it's new cousin that has sleeves. I am hopeless with styling it for work. I also had a giggle about the mustnotbenamed blog, I had no idea Voldemort wore Anthro :-)
So glad you're bringing this feature back! I actually had completely forgotten about it. I own the first two pieces, so as long as one of them gets picked, I'll be good :)
I'm all for the Great Escape skirt!! It seems like popular piece that has various color options, too! I love this feature idea!
Bwahaha! Awesome. Maybe we should just think of it as the Voldemort blog from now on? Your suggestion will be in next week's poll as apparently I can't edit it now. Pah.
Good idea! I vote for Sugar & Cream Dress...but only because that's the only item out of your list that I have. HAHA.
Great idea! In a future poll could you have something like: your recent or current favorite Anthro purchase to broaden the item selection. You could also do just a polyvore set with using your number 1 wishlist item. Just a few suggestions. This sounds like a lot of fun!

1.) Lingering Rays Skirt!! It's harder to style than you might think.
2.) Tokonoma Tee, just got this on sale and would love some styling ideas. Has so many bold colors to match with as well.
I don't have any of the items listed - I'm still pretty new to Anthro. But, I love this feature and can't wait to see the outfits.
Yay! I love this feature and I love your fun style! :) One piece I'm having a time with is the Last Blooming Skirt. I LOVE it but combined with the fact that I'm a shortie, the skirt comes below my knees (though I think I have enough room at the bottom to hem it a bit), and the color scheme, I am having a hard time styling it. Glad you're taking this feature on and intend to do it with some consistency! I'm writing in a vote for the Whisked Away Cardigan. I love it, but have a hard time styling it.
I would love to see how you would wear the Tiered Stripes Dress. I have it and it fits well but I'm at a loss on how to dress it up or down. Any help would be fabulous!!
